The ‘Research in Germany – Land of Ideas’ brand is used to showcase Germany as a center of research on an international scale.
In our globalised world, scientific and technological advancements are made not only within national borders, but above all in cooperation and exchange with partners around the world. With this in mind, we seek to publicise Germany as an outstanding location for science, development, and research, and strengthen international cooperation as a result.
Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), since 2006 German research organisations have implemented communications measures and events around the world with the aim of enhancing Germany’s global visibility. The joint brand under which these activities are organised is ‘Research in Germany – Land of Ideas’. It puts the different measures abroad in a consistent context and gives them high recognition value.
Besides numerous events and publications, the central Research in Germany online platform provides information about Germany as a place of research. Here, international scientists, journalists, and representatives from politics and business will find an overview of the German research and education landscape, and see what is new in the world of science. The website also provides information about promotion and career opportunities for non-German scientists, and support as they prepare for a research stay in Germany.
